
Dr. Michael Jacobsen
Dr. Michael Jacobsen has had the pleasure of serving the Wichita community and surrounding areas with the highest standard of cares since 1993. He attended Kearney State College and was accepted into the University of Nebraska's Dental School in 1982.
Following his graduation in 1986, Dr. Jacobsen completed a General Practice Residency in Oklahoma City at St. Anthony's Hospital. He spent two years as a general dentist serving his patients in Kansas City and Troy, KS. Dr. Jacobsen then decided to pursue his dream of becoming a Prosthodontist. In 1989, he was accepted as a new prosthodontic resident at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
He completed his prosthodontic residency in 1991. Dr. Jacobsen then moved his wife and two young children to Houston, Texas where he was accepted as a new fellow resident of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Oral Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. After completing his fellowship, he moved his family to Wichita, Kansas and has been in private practice for twenty-five years. Dr. Jacobsen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wichita District Dental Society, and the American College of Prosthodontists.
When not in his office or teaching at Wichita State University, Dr. Jacobsen enjoys golf, swimming, volunteering at East Heights United Methodist Church, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
