We Offer Comprehensive Dentistry
Dr. Jacobsen attended the University of Nebraska Medical College Center of Dentistry where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS). He went on to complete a general practice residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. After practicing general dentistry in Kansas for two years, he completed a two-year prosthodontic residency at the VA Hospital in Kansas City and a fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Dr. Jacobsen opened his current office in 1995 and was actually the first prosthodontist to practice in the Wichita area!
Prosthodontics is one of eight specialties recognized by the American Dental Association. It is the branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, treatment planning, design, and fabrication of dental prosthetics like crowns, bridges, dental implants, and full and partial dentures.
This combination of general dentistry and prosthodontic training allows Dr. Jacobsen to provide exceptional comprehensive care to patients of all ages. We offer all the preventive services your family needs to maintain healthy smiles and restorative dentistry if a problem develops.

Over the years, we have learned that the best dental care is a collaboration between you and your dentist. When you first visit us, Dr. Jacobsen will perform an exam, take x-rays, and chart your teeth so he can get a picture of what’s going on with your oral health.
He will then develop a customized plan for treatment, explain what’s involved, and answer all your questions. When you are an active participant in the process, you are better able to make comfortable, informed decisions about your treatment.
In addition to comprehensive care, we are proud to offer our patients the benefits of an on-site custom dental lab. Having the lab here in our practice allows Dr. Jacobsen to take a hands-on approach with the design and fabrication of your restorations and provide outcomes that exceed expectations. He enjoys staying current with the continual advances in technology and materials because of the benefits they offer his patients.
